Building ELMA for the next generation of hams
I’m an Amateur Extra class licensee with a brain dysfunctions. The coming of AI has allowed me to actually achieve my goals to teach and bring amateur radio and electronics to the younger generations in a gamifying way as much as possible.
Where I need to have the technical words that my brain will not allow me to keep, AI has the solutions. It lets me keep building, documenting, and sharing even when my working memory gets in the way.
I want to build an ELMA to be there for my Always Caring Amateur Radio Experimentation Society. We can pour our documentations into it and grow this AI to become the next ELMA that never hazes or gatekeeps the information.
Any human can come and learn more about the amateur radio field of RF engineering and electronics. No hazing. No gatekeeping. Just clear, caring, gamified learning for whoever wants to understand how radio works.
I’m learning how to train and shape models here so I can eventually pull a solid, offline-friendly version down to a Debian machine for the club. Hugging Face is where I get comfortable with the tools before I take the finished AI home.
